The first fully autonomous train successfully rolled off the assembly line

On the afternoon of October 17, Shanghai Metro Line 18 held a roll-off ceremony at CRRC Zhuji.  

The project train is currently the highest level fully automatic driving train (GoA4) unattended during the whole process.Shanghai Metro Line 18 was initially equipped with 50 vehicles and adopted the national standard 6-section A-type car group, with a maximum speed of 80km/h.

Beihai Communication provided on-board passenger information system for Shanghai Line 18 trains. For the GoA4 level, the passenger information system can adapt to a variety of scenarios for linkage, and it fully considers reliability and redundancy. The passenger information system of this project uses a highly redundant ring Ethernet architecture, with dual switches for each vehicle and power supplied separately. The redundancy is currently the highest in the domestic PIS Ethernet architecture. The system uses an intelligent power amplifier, providing hardware support for  control center of vehicle PIS intelligent monitoring; In particular, Shanghai Line 18 passenger information system supports platform access of health management / vehicle expert system, enabling the control center to automatically analyze the status of train broadcast systems on operating lines and automatically detect false and neglected alarms, as well as realizing functions of the real-time display of communication failures of the device and the alarm automatically pops up if the failure exceeds the set threshold.

In the project design process, the dimensions of some equipment are more precise than conventional projects due to stricter standardization, which undoubtedly and greatly increases the difficulty of implementation. Our structural engineers and standardization technicians have communicated closely for many times, carefully researching each equipment to the precision of each screw and nut to overcome difficulties. With the uncompromising 'craftsman spirit', the demand of equipment standardization was perfectly fulfilled.

The train of this project can be diagnosed and repaired automatically during the operation, which can realize self-traction under the condition of no high voltage on the line, and meet the usage requirements of 79 scenarios. It can automatically adjust and adapt to environmental changes, and truly realize the 'self-run, self-return, self-check and self-repair ' At the same time, on the basis of the universal vehicle safety monitoring system, safety detection systems such as pantograph net monitoring systems, axle temperature detection systems, obstacle detection systems, and derailment detection systems have been added to complete the vehicle safety monitoring system with higher safety coefficient. 

The train of this project pays more attention to the passenger experience: It adopts air conditioner of composite air outlets, which change the centralized air outlet to multiple points of scattered air outlets, giving passengers a ride experience without wind and temperature differences; It employs four-season variable light and temperature design, which automatically adjust lighting brightness and warm and cold color temperature according to the environment, reflecting meticulous humanistic care; The soft interior colors and the simple interior layout have significantly elevated the overall cabin permeability and travel comfort; The setting of intelligent wireless charging device and intelligent self speed-regulating wiper have further improved the humanized service.
