2022 The 19th China ASEAN Expo

On September 16, the 19th China ASEAN Expo which lasts for 4 days held a grand opening ceremony in Nanning, Guangxi.

Under the background of normalization of epidemic situation, all provinces, autonomous regions and cities have used the platform of China ASEAN Expo to inject strong impetus into the development of regional in-depth integration. The signed investment enterprises of this year's China ASEAN Expo involve 27 provinces, autonomous regions and cities, including Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Fujian, and the number of cooperative provinces is the highest in the history. In particular, enterprises in more than 10 provinces along the western new land and sea channel, such as Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and Tibet, have taken advantage of the development of China ASEAN Expo to deepen investment cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, port logistics, biomedicine, high-end metal intensive processing and other fields.

This year marks the beginning of the China ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the first year of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). With the theme of 'Sharing New Opportunities of RCEP and Boosting Version 3.0 of China ASEAN Free Trade Area', the Expo held 40 investment promotion activities, with 1653 exhibitors and more than 2000 enterprises participating in the Cloud ASEAN Expo. The parties to the Expo signed 267 cooperation projects, with a total investment of 413 billion yuan, 37% more than the previous one, and the total investment of the signed projects reached a record high.

China ASEAN Expo has become a high-end platform for China and ASEAN to gather consensus and connect development strategies, and a powerful propeller for deepening bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cooperation and implementing trade and investment facilitation.

Zhaohui Wei, Secretary General of the Secretariat of the China ASEAN Expo, said that, as an important cooperation platform between China and ASEAN, over the years, the Expo has held high-level forums involving more than 40 fields, including connectivity, production capacity, customs, health, finance, etc., facilitating the implementation of multiple projects between China and ASEAN, and witnessing the completion of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area, China and ASEAN being the largest trading partner each other, and the effective implementation of RCEP and other landmark achievements.

We believe that as an important platform for deepening China ASEAN cooperation and promoting regional economic integration, the China ASEAN Expo will add new momentum and provide new opportunities for promoting sustainable post epidemic recovery and building an open regional economy.

As an enterprise, how to strengthen policy research and legal research, truly understand and grasp the relevant policies of RCEP and the Free Trade Zone, and grasp these development opportunities is an important work that our enterprise needs to do at present and in the future.
