The research institution called Market Research Future (MRFR) recently released the 6G Market Research Analysis Report, which shows that nearly 50% of the world's 6G patent applications come from China, and the rest from other countries/regions.
MRFR estimates that by the end of 2040, the global 6G market will be worth 340 billion dollars. The report further predicts that the 6G market will flourish at a compound annual growth rate of more than 58% between 2030 and 2040.
MRFR also indicates that the Asia Pacific region will lead the development of the global 6G market. As the Asia Pacific region, especially China, pays more and more attention to satellite communications and related technology improvement in this field, the Asia Pacific region will have the largest value share in the global 6G market;
Next is the North American market. MRFR believes that the growing demand for innovation and its significant impact on consumers' quality of life may promote the expansion of the North American 6G market in the following days.
In June, China Mobile released the White Paper on 6G Network Architecture Technology, proposing the 'three bodies, four layers and five sides' 6G overall architecture design, which is also the first systematic release of 6G network architecture design in the industry.
According to the rule that mobile communication technology is updated every 10 years or so, 6G is expected to be commercially available around 2030.
In 2019, the world's first 6G white paper, Key Drivers and Research Challenges for 6G Ubiquitous Wireless Intelligence, was released.
